Aphrodite’s Organic Cafe Marketing Proposal
Working in partnership with my friend and classmate Cara Crowley
we devised a marketing proposal for a great local business, Aphrodite's Organic Cafe. A Kitsilano staple, Aphrodite's was created in 2003 originally as a pie shop, then blossoming into a full restaurant later that year. They prize local, organic food, offering delicious breakfast and lunch options, as well as pies and smoothies.
Together, Cara and I scoured Aphrodite's website and social media presences, seeking areas of improvement. We decided to focus on three main goals:
- Optimizing the site for search engines for higher page ranking
- Bringing in more foot traffic during the week by using price incentives and a loyalty program
- Create a stronger emotional connection with the customer base through social media by capitalizing on the fascinating stories of the farmers and artists that make Aphrodite's so special
We envision a six-month period in which to roll out our suggested changes, monitoring progress by use of Google Analytics and other metric-measuring tools. Likes, follows, and shares would also be closely monitored; patterns and strategies would be created based on which posts inspire the most user engagement.
